 It Works, but Not Worth $3.99Jul 06, 2010
I have well water, and water filters and clarifying shampoos did nothing to keep my blonde hair from turning green (from chlorine?). I bought the weekly brightener just for added protection. It definitely brightened my hair, but I feel as though a blonde-specific shampoo or conditioner, if used after the Malibu shampoo/conditioner, works just as well and is more cost-effective. I think paying $4 a week for this stuff would be ridiculous. It is definitely a one-time-use packet. The Malibu shampoo & conditioner work well to keep my hair green-free, but do not necessarily brighten my blonde so I opted to purchase a blonde-specific conditioner as a supplement. I doubt I'll ever buy this weekly brightening treatment again.

This product works like a shampoo you just use half of the crystals in the pack and mix it with a little water then apply it like a shampoo and leave in for 5 minutes. I have really hard irony water that turns my hair a dull brassy color and malibu got rid of it completely!! It returned highlights to my hair and its natural blonde color. Works great!
