 Davines Color-enhancing Conditioner deliversDec 24, 2008

This olive-oil based conditioner leaves my hair with a copper/auburn shine. Even though it is olive oil based it rinses out easily and smells great. Unlike so many other products that color-enhance, this one actually deserves the name conditioner. The jar is glass so care is indicated in handling, but it does keeps the product fresh and doesn't interact with the color. I take out the amount I'm going to use and put it into a small plastic container before I get in the shower. I had missed the Aveda Annatto conditioner for the color enhancing qualities but hadn't found it very conditioning on my hair. This product does both and even if Aveda began offering Annatto conditioner again I would not go back.

My hair colorist first sold this stuff to me after I got bright red streaks put into my hair. I couldn't believe how long it kept the color in, and actually made it brighter and shinier red. I've tried other red conditioners and they don't work for me at all. This stuff really improves the color that you already have.
The one thing I don't like is how it comes in a jar. While in the shower, you have to scoop a bit out and put it down and screw the top back on without spilling what's in your hand. I guess you could probably put it in your own squeeze-bottle, though.
Also, only got four stars because it's so expensive that I can't use it all the time. Overall, I love love love this stuff.

If you like sickeningly sweet, heavy scents, this product is for you. I, personally, do not. Also, I expected this product and the shampoo to "brighten" my grey, not darken my whole head of hair. I'm tossing this stuff in the garbage. Expensive mistake.

The 8.45 fl oz jar of davines conditioner was opened and used when it arrived. Approximately 2 oz of the conditioner were missing from the jar. I tried to contact the seller, Beauty Direct of LA, CA. My emails were delivered but not replied to.
I paid $34 for the davines conditioner from Beauty Direct.
