 It's ok, but go for the Caviar one or the SoT one instead if you canOct 13, 2010

I prefer the fragrance of this shampoo over the Caviar one, but after trying both i can tolerate the sourish smell of the Caviar one...
1)Your hair gets dirty faster with this shampoo (yes im serious)
2) It dries your hair and scalp to a point where it seems your body just gets angry and violently takes it out on you by pumping out massive amounts of oil via your scalp later in the day (hence why point #1 most likely occurs)
3) You need more of the product to get a good lather going vs the Caviar or SoT (science of ten) ones.
The only plus sides?
1) It smells good
2) the bottle looks like it was hacked into shape by a skilled samurai (albeit rushingly lol) within a bamboo forest who's in need of a container. Ie the bottle looks cool

I just ordered this product and the shampoo for the first time. I use it on special occasions only. Yes definitely makes hair very very smooth, manageable, soft, and shiny. It repairs at the cuticle level. My hair is very very long so I need products that help me soften it before styling. I have noticed the difference when using it. You will too!!!

before I can say anything about the efficacy of this product I must warn you that the bottle is brittle. This morning I used it for the first time, the bottle fell off the shower shelf into the tub, cracked open like a nut and most of the content gushed out and down the drain. I've never seen this happening with any other shampoo bottle, either cheap or expensive.

I turned to Alterna after hearing a lot of buzz on blogs and Sephora, and have used both the Alterna Caviar Seasilk Volume Shampoo, 8.5-Ounce Bottle and this Life Solutions Shampoo for about a year on my long, normal to fine color treated hair. I like both of the shampoos, and though the bottle construction is weird, it hasn't been a problem with me at all. Very little is needed, so an 8 oz bottle lasts me about 8 months, and none of the shampoo or conditioner bottles have broken or been particularly difficult to get the product out. I don't mind the scent of either shampoo, but I prefer the results from this product, the Life Solutions Shampoo (though both are great). It makes my hair shiny, voluminous, really thick, and my hair doesn't feel dirty for a couple days after I use it. Both my colorist and my stylist noticed a difference in my hair, it has that much more body and texture. I have used most of the color safe volume shampoos on the market, and prefer Alterna to Bumble and Bumble, Redken, Artec, Pureology and Lanza.
